Warm Honey Oak Revival

Help reimagine this massive wall in desperate need of a makeover. Could b board & batten / and wainscoting for the bottom third of the wall? Not sure what color(s) either! Colors need to coordinate with honey oak (see trim. Try to embrace the wood as is so don't have to paint/replace kitchen cabinets and trim throughout). Maybe curtains on the windows instead of shades? Be creative, and it's not necessary to follow the the ideas thrown out, just give an idea for a makeover.
